Board and Members
Ella Havard Fitzbag, Founder and President
Ella comes from a family of volunteers. She served as a Big Sister, fund development board chair for Reading & Radio, fundraiser organizer for volunteer fire departments and delivers Meals on Wheels. She retired as an executive from the technology industry in Austin and moved to rural Texas where she helps small businesses, is a community good-works leader, grows organic produce and founded FunSaturday, a 501c3 nonprofit corporation. She and her husband Dean have four children and nine grandchildren. “When I retired, I looked around to see what I could do that helps everyone. The answer was volunteer firefighters.”
Joshua Clouse, Vice President and Secretary
Josh followed his father’s footsteps to serve as a volunteer fire chief. He trained his volunteer fire department to help improve the department’s Insurance Services Offices (ISO) ratings that are designed to mitigate the loss of lives and property in rural areas and small towns. As firefighter and paramedic for Plano Fire-Rescue, he assumed the leadership role for implementing the Community Paramedic Program that resulted in improving the health of patients who live alone with chronic illnesses and reduced 911 medical calls by 69%. Josh experienced the dedication of volunteer firefighting through his father. He, his wife and three children live in a rural north Texas town.
Mike Rogers, Vice President
Mike was asked to join the board because of his ethical standards, common sense business practices and family values. He is an entrepreneur and started multiple companies that create jobs all over the United States in the communications, civil and structural engineering, and air transport industries. Mike’s affinity with volunteer fire departments is that they serve areas that he serves. He and his wife live in rural Texas close to their children and many grandchildren.
